At LucasPye BIO (LPB) our mission is to make biotherapeutic drugs more affordable while transforming the economy & strengthening the healthcare offerings within underserved communities around the globe. To initiate our mission and promote our social-impact interests, LucasPye BIO headquarters is located in Philadelphia, PA. Our location is significant in allowing LPB to change the narrative and “face” of the biotechnology industry to one that promotes and illustrates diversity, inclusion & equality.

We’re not naive. We understand that we won’t be able to single-handedly change the biotechnology industry overnight in regards to allowing People of Color, Women, and Members of the LGBTQ Community to increase their visibility in Executive Leadership Roles, as Supply Chain Vendors and as Life Science Start-Up Founders. However, we do believe that by taking a leadership role on Diversity, Inclusion & Equality will allow us to:

  • Actively participate in the Gig Economy
  • Embrace the benefits of its Diverse & Inclusive Platform
  • Profit from Developing & Commercializing the Gig Economy in the Life Science Industry

Now…I know what you’re thinking — “How in the HELL do you develop & commercialize a Gig-Type Workforce for a highly-regulated industry such as Life Sciences?”

Great Question. Here’s the Answer: You simply create a space in which you mentor, develop, and provide support to exclusively help them maintain their “Gig Independence” within the Life Science Industry per Global Regulatory Standards.

You may have seen glimpses of this type of environment. It’s called Co-Working with Wet Labs, i.e. BioLabs at Philadelphia CIC, Discovery Labs — now most recently turned CDMO, UPenn’s Pennovation Works w/ JPOD — including new Pennovation Lab, future LabWorks at Spring House Innovation Park, Chicago’s MATTER, etc.

The list goes on and on. The common thread between those in the aforementioned list is that they are all being managed/led by Commercial Real Estate Investors, and some are being co-managed by Academia. The other common thread between those respective spaces is that they are not knowledgeable about the commercialization process for:

  • Drugs — Pharmaceuticals or Biopharmaceuticals
  • Medical Devices
  • Health-Tech Software
  • Med-Tech Software

However, they’ve all been successful at:

  • Collecting High-Rent for “shared” wet lab space with less than bare-minimum equipment
  • Riding the coattails of Life Science Start-Ups & their respective Academic / Commercial Partners
  • Persuading Life Science Start-Ups that their space is THE Best Option to build relationships to the commercial market
  • Persuading Investors that their space Highlights the Expertise & Commercial Appeal of their Investment Portfolio

All the while their tenants continue on their “rat race” to stand-out and demonstrate value for their investors via their bench-top discoveries…without any type of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to demonstrate their probability for commercial success — and no warm introductions to the Commercial Market.

However, don’t worry…LucasPye BIO has partnered with HelaPlex — Commercial Co-Working for Life Science Start-Ups & Virtual Biotech Companies. This is how we at LucasPye BIO will support our social impact interests. HelaPlex and LucasPye BIO will lead our industry peers in breaking down barriers of entry into our industry and level the playing field for a Diverse, Inclusive and Equitable Life Science Workforce.

HelaPlex is our strategic partner and fellow subsidiary of Goffman Bougard, LLC. HelaPlex provides space exclusively for these types of companies:

  • Biological Drug R&D
  • Medical Device R&D
  • Health-Tech Software
  • Med-Tech Software

It’s sole purpose is to strategically manage its co-working, wet lab facility & maker’s space per cGMP, cGDP, and cGLP standards as recommended by global regulatory agencies, i.e. FDA, EMA, CFDA, etc. (including 21 CFR Part 211) to provide REAL Monetary Value for their Tenants’ Life Science Assets.

Nope, I’m not going to go into detail to define this jargon. Those of us in the Commercial Life Science Industry, and have years of experience working in the Commercial Life Science Industry, are highly-knowledgeable of these terms. In fact, we utilize these terms daily within our work & employer departmental roles in the Commercial Life Science Industry — including Human Health & Veterinary Health. HelaPlex is led & managed by former Big Pharma Executives that have +100 Years of Experience in commercializing life science products.

To summarize, the commercial success of HelaPlex’s Tenants is it’s #1 Priority!

Yes, they collect rent. More importantly, they provide you with the full gamut of necessities — including a laptop, software, equipment, ancillary support for your team per city/state/federal regulations for workforce management, and commercialization training — to help you build a Life Science MVP & ensure your success on entering the global commercial market! This includes Licensing & Exits via Commercial Sales to Big Pharma Companies.

Let Me Wrap this S*** Up in a BOW for YOU!

HelaPlex is the New Life Science Gig Economy…PERIOD.

Life Science R&D is the BACKBONE of the Commercial Life Science Market. Why not invest in yourself to not only learn how the “Pros Do It”, but to actually become a “Pro” yourself and earn a “High-Paying / Living” wage based upon your new job skills, expertise & innovations?

Trust me, the Life Science Gig Economy kicks the Tech Gig Economy’s A** in regard to profit levels & wages for its workforce! Including Uber, Lyft, Postmates, etc. — say Goodbye to $10 Rides & $6.95 Food Deliveries w/ no TIP…LMAO!

Tech Gigsters are nothing compared to SOLUtion Medical, Kayan +, Companies in Ben Franklin Tech Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania and Dreamit Ventures Investment Portfolios, Pennsylvania Biotech Center of Bucks County, etc. All of these Life Science Gigsters significantly contribute to the advancement of Human/Veterinary Health & Medicine.

And Heyyyyy…there is Absolutely Nothing Wrong with choosing to become an Employee over a “Gigster” (is that a REAL Word?…I don’t know…hmmm — anyway). The most important thing with choosing to be an employee is to be a highly-skilled employee and have your unique skillset be in HIGH-DEMAND. The Life Science Industry require’s employment of Highly-Skilled Laborers and they are ALWAYS in HIGH-DEMAND. HelaPlex will be providing training for people that wish to work in the Commercial Life Science Workforce, i.e. Bioprocessing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain / Logistics, etc. Life Science Gigsters need You.

And we, in the Global Commercial Market, need Life Science Gigsters to work with us & help ensure that our Personal Health & U.S. Domestic Economy survives post COVID-19.

HelaPlex Welcomes YOU to the New Life Science Gig Economy!
